Second generation. Owner on every job.

Syd Martin grew up on his father's concrete and pool job sites in Southwest Florida. That's 60+ years of family knowledge, plus 20+ years of his own hands-on work. Crete Concepts is his company and his name. When you call, you talk to him. When we pour, he's there.

Price my slab

Getting quotes? Ask every contractor these questions.

Two concrete prices can look alike and be completely different jobs. These answers tell you what you're really paying for. Here are ours.

Get your price
How thick will my slab be?
4 inches for patios and walkways. 5 or 6 inches when trucks, boats or RVs will sit on it. It's written on your price.
What strength of concrete are you pouring?
3,000 PSI with fiber mixed in, as standard. 4,000 PSI if you want a harder-wearing surface.
What goes under the concrete?
We strip the sod and grade the ground. A compacted stone base is available, and we'll tell you when your soil needs it.
Where will the control joints go?
We plan and cut them so that if the slab cracks, it cracks in a straight line where we chose.
Which way will the water run?
Away from your house. Every slab is formed with a slope before a yard of concrete shows up.
Who will actually be on my job?
Syd, the owner. Not a salesman who hands you off to a crew you've never met.
Are you insured?
Yes. Crete Concepts is fully insured.
Is cleanup included?
Always. Old concrete removal is priced in up front when you need it.
